The Day The Earth Stood Still (2012)

The Day The Earth Stood Still is a short narrative film that showcases an film project that a college film class is producing. All the students are actively involved and this short film showcases both what their project is about and how they are producing a film altogether.

Los Angeles River Blues (2006)

A lone man saunters along the parched Los Angeles river. Graffitied walls and discarded, lifeless rubbish and glass surround him. The lone man continues to wander, but seems to contemplate his own life and jots down his thoughts into a handheld notebook. Soon enough, the lone man goes through what seems to be a torturous process in which only he knows and eventually throws the notebook away for good.

When Life Begins and Ends (2005)

When Life Begins and Ends Again depicts the close relationship between a young boy and his older brother. The younger brother laments and reminisces about the times he spent with his brother, whom he idolized and viewed as an important guiding figure in his life. The younger brother is witnessed to be bullied and harassed in his high school years and to fight back, he continues to live and work to make his dreams as a filmmaker come true.

El Escape (2004)

Two families ride in the same car together and engage in a lively conversation. Two children, a young boy and a girl watch their families quarrel silently from the back of the car. Throughout the duration of the car ride, the two children tease and enjoy each other’s presence, as if they are transcending into another world. They let their minds roam and they imaginatively sit in a dreamy world together with a dancer performing for the two children. They snap back to reality when the family parks their car and they go into a church. El Escape was filmed at the UCLA School of Theatre, Film, and Television in 2004.
